Zallo is a family run cannery in the Basque Country renowned for their sustainable tuna. Their white tuna is caught by pole and line in the Cantabrian Sea, which means that each fish is caught individually, avoiding by-catch, and also ensuring there is always enough fish in the sea to replenish the stocks.

White tuna (Or Bonito del Norte in Spanish) is characterized by its light and tender meat, mild flavour and juicy texture, making it the preferred canned fish for the most sophisticated palates.

Doctors and nutritionists praise the consumption of white tuna over more traditional varieties of the fish due to its high levels of Omega-3, which contribute to the reduction of cholesterol and triglyceride levels in blood, lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease.
